The Department of Physical Therapy at the College of Allied Health Sciences at Kuwait University organized a scientific forum for the department's graduates titled "A Bridge from Education to Clinical Professional Life," with the presence of the Assistant Dean for Research and Graduate Studies, Dr.Elham Al-Dosari, and the Administrative Director, Abdullah Al-Mutairi. The event was supervised by the Social and Scientific Committee, represented by Dr.Latifah Al-Enezi, Dr. Sharifa Al-Mutairi, and Dr.Eman Al-Saqabi, along with the academic staff, and in collaboration with the Physical Therapy Services Administration at the Ministry of Health and the Kuwaiti Physical Therapy Association.

The head of the Physical Therapy Department, Dr. Hesham Al-Rowayeh stated that the forum comes within the framework of supporting the transition from the academic environment to clinical practice, by informing graduates about the job market requirements and various career paths and answering their inquiries with the participation of the relevant authorities.
He added that the forum will contribute to enhancing communication and sustainable integration between academic institutions and health and professional entities, supporting the development of national competencies in the field of physical therapy. He concluded his remarks by wishing that this forum would be the seed for a continuous annual event.

For her part, Dr.Latifah Al-Enezi explained to the graduates how to transition to professional life after graduation, moving from the classroom to the fields of real clinical practice, and how the knowledge they have acquired becomes a responsibility and the skills they have gained become tools to serve patients and the community.

The forum hosted several lectures from the Ministry of Health, represented by an introductory lecture on the professional path in the clinical field and field training, presented by the Head of the Training and Monitoring Department, Maryam AlSaffar, and the Chief Physiotherapy Specialist, Iman Al-Shashtari, from the Physiotherapy Services Department of the Ministry of Health.

The novice physiotherapist at Adan Hospital, Muath Abaza, shared his experience with the attendees, starting from his first day in college, thru his graduation, and ending with the appointment procedures at the Ministry of Health, as well as his clinical work with patients and the real responsibility. He urged the graduates to enjoy this experience and work diligently and sincerely with the patients.

The forum also witnessed the participation of the Secretary-General of the Kuwaiti Physical Therapy Association, Abeer Al-Tajalli, who introduced the attendees to the association's role in supporting and rehabilitating physical therapy graduates, the process of joining the association, and running for its board of directors. Additionally, there was a discussion session with representatives from government agencies and graduates to exchange knowledge and answer attendees' inquiries.
