The Physical Therapy Department, under the supervision of the Social and Scientific Committee, organized the "Greentle" event on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, in the lobby of the College of Medical Sciences, to celebrate World Mental Health Day. This initiative aimed to highlight the importance of mental health care in an entertaining and interactive manner, away from the pressures of study and the routine of university life.
The event was organized by Dr. Latifa Al-Enzi, Dr. Sharifa Al-Mutairi, and Dr. Iman Al-Suqabi, who ensured the coordination of diverse content that combines awareness, psychological support, and entertainment.
The event included several awareness stations, the most notable of which was a booth dedicated to mental health awareness and the role of academic advisors in supporting and assisting students throughout their university journey. Additionally, a therapeutic program specifically designed to treat psychological stress among university students was presented. This program is scientifically validated thru a study published in a classified international scientific journal, prepared by Dr. Nasser Al-Otaibi, Dr. Latifa Al-Enzi, and Dr. Fida Idris from the Departments of Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy.
The event was not limited to the awareness aspect only; it also included interactive and creative activities such as coloring and drawing booths to relieve exam stress, dedicated spaces for students to write about their personal experiences, failures, ways to overcome them, and achievements. Additionally, students participated in entertaining and competitive games that added an atmosphere of fun and interaction.
In the final hour of the event, participants moved to the college garden to engage in outdoor activities, which included a group walking tour accompanied by the event organizers, exchanging conversations, enjoying the natural surroundings, and light recreational games.
The event witnessed a wide attendance from students and professors, who expressed their admiration for the organization and content, confirming that it was a successful and inspiring experience that combined awareness, entertainment, and psychological support all at once.
