Occupational Therapy (OT) is a vital allied health profession concerned with enabling individuals who experience physical, psychosocial, cognitive, or developmental challenges to participate effectively in their daily life activities. Occupational therapists use meaningful, purposeful, and goal-directed activities to promote independence, enhance functional performance, and improve overall quality of life.
The Department continuously updates its academic programs in alignment with the needs of the Ministry of Health and the labor market, and in accordance with the latest local, regional, and international developments.
The Occupational Therapy program has been re-accredited by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) for the period from 2025 to 2031. This renewed accreditation reflects the academic excellence of the Department and confirms the high quality of its academic, clinical, and research standards in accordance with international benchmarks in education and professional practice.
The Department is also preparing to launch a specialized program in Prosthetics and Orthotics as part of its future expansion plans.
